Artist Stefanos Tsivopoulos joins SMFA faculty members Jane Gillooly and Tina Wasserman for a conversation and screening of his film, “History Zero,” which represented Greece at the 2013 Venice Biennial. The film takes its starting point from the multi-layered contemporary crisis in Greece, which Tsivopoulos sees as an opportunity to interpret an alternative visualization of the future. Depicting three human experiences, “History Zero” explores the role of money in the formation of relationships and political and social elements relating to the ownership of money.
Hosted in conjunction with SMFA’s exhibition “Reverb: New Art from
Greece.”
