The Cambridge Symphony Orchestra's annual Family Concert on April 21 features the beloved children's piece Peter and the Wolf.

Kids also get to enjoy the booming brass and rousing percussion of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique. 

And each year, the CSO hosts a talented young string performer from the “El Sistema”-inspired Boston String Academy, a nonprofit providing rigorous string instrument instruction to children in the underserved communities of Chinatown and Dorchester. 

This year, soloist William Parkes join the ensemble to perform Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 1.
