TIME: 02:00 pm - 03:30 pm
Join the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEMA) to celebrate the organization’s beloved founder Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday on Sunday, October 29 by inviting families and community members throughout eastern Massachusetts to join in on the celebration and learn more about Girl Scouts! GSEMA hosts a special chance to dress in tea party attire while recognizing her impact on young girls to embrace their unique strengths and inspire them to see their true potentials. Attendees have the opportunity to play historical games, make crafts and enjoy tea, lemonade and other sweet treats. Over 100 years ago, Juliette sat down with her cousin, Nina Pape, for afternoon tea and developed her plans to introduce the Girl Scout Movement to the United States. Since then, roughly 2.5 million girls and adults have made up Girl Scouts, and continue to help redefine what’s possible for girls everywhere. This event takes place on October 29 from 2–3:30 p.m. at Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham.
