On Saturday, September 11, join the USS Constitution Museum to give back.
Help the museum say thank you to members of the U.S.
Military who bravely serve the country every day! Together with Operation
Gratitude, on Saturday, September 11, the museuml recognizes the National Day of
Service & Remembrance by packing 1,000 Recruit Graduate care pouches for
new Sailors and Coast Guardsmen. Care pouches include personal hygiene items,
snacks, a paracord bracelet and a handwritten thank you note. These care
packages offer a reminder to the service men and women starting a career in the
military that Americans across the nation appreciate their service and
sacrifice.
Volunteer shifts are three hours, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. and 2–5 p.m. Advance registration is
required for this event. Families are encouraged to attend, though due to shift
length, it is recommended that volunteers are ages 13 and up. Sign up to join our
community of volunteers at https://www.operationgratitude.com/uss-constitution-museum/.
Unable to commit to an entire volunteer shift?
You can still say thank you to the military community by volunteering a few
minutes of your time to assemble a smaller care package with a thank you note
and paracord survival bracelet from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. at the USS Constitution
Museum.
