Wine and dine like Thomas Jefferson in the Seaport Hotel’s state-of-the-art Action Kitchen with a special four-course Valentine’s Day weekend dinner on Sunday, February 18, 7-9:30 p.m. While serving as Ambassador to France from 1785-1789, Jefferson developed quite an affinity for French wines and cuisine and embraced the relationship between garden and table, cultivating hundreds of fruits and vegetables in the gardens at his Monticello estate in Virginia. Seaport Executive Chef Richard Rayment has curated a distinctive menu featuring many of Jefferson’s favorite dishes, including aMarinated Asparagus Salad with English Peas and Bibb Lettuce and Daube de Boeuf with Jefferson Macaroni and Cheese Pie, paired with modern-day versions of the wines he consumed and often served to his guests.
