At the South End's beloved enoteca Coppa, James Beard
Award-winning chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette will offer a Feast of the
Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve—7 courses for $75, with an optional wine pairing
at $45. Accepting reservations from 4-8pm, menu highlights include:
Piatto Misti: Crab and calamari salad with giardiniera;
Smoked eel crostini, pickled kumquat, shaved fennel, Calabrian chili; Wood oven
roasted Island Creek Oysters, seaweed butter
Sperlani Fritti: Fried smelts Sicilian fisherman style
Saba Marinato: marinated mackerel, lentils, celeriac,
cranberry, perilla
Forno a Legna Sarine Arrostite: Wood-oven roasted sardine,
pomme puree, green olive vinaigrette
Baccala Agnolotti: butter poached lobster, parsley root
puree, spinach, meyer lemon (add black truffle for $25)
Risotto alla Zucca: Pumpkin, clams, green peppercorn
Polpette di Pesce Spada: Swordfish meatballs, potato
gnocchi, golden raisin, capers, spicy pomodoro
Panettone: ricotta and clementine semifreddo
