On Thursday, November 16, up to 200 young professionals will head to Back Bay Social Club and roll up their sleeves to participate in Playworks New England’s 10th annual Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament. Proceeds from the event will benefit the nonprofit’s youth development programming, which includes using the game of Rock, Paper, Scissors as a conflict resolution tool for students during recess, in more than 100 elementary schools across the region.

Playworks New England is building a recess movement. The regional branch of a national nonprofit integrates physical activity and social and emotional skill-building into organized activities during recess to create a space where students feel included, are active, and build valuable social and emotional skills needed to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
