National Parks of Boston and the USS Constitution Museum for a two-day extravaganza
celebrating the role of women workers at the Charlestown Navy Yard! Thousands
of women worked at the Charlestown Navy Yard during World War II. Their efforts
played a critical role in the outcome of the war and left a lasting mark on
American history. Come join us in remembering and celebrating the work of these
Shipbuilding Women of the Navy!
Hands on History: Twist your own rope, make a Navy Yard work badge, pick up a SWON coloring book, snap a picture at the “We Can Do It!” selfie booth, and more! Join a ranger for a walking tour focusing on the women workers of World War II.
Rosie’s Legacy Speaker Series: Learn about the social, cultural, and personal stories of the women workers of WWII, including a keynote by Marla Miller from UMass Amherst and a panel discussion.
Vehicles for
Victory: See vintage vehicles from World War II that were transported aboard
Boston-built ships.
