Along with over 700 cities around the world, Make Music Boston is celebrating the summer solstice by filling the city with music! The Lawn on D will make its mark on the day with a festival dedicated to Les Paul and one of our favorite instruments, the guitar. Nine local bands will perform throughout the day, while you can stroll in and out of a special exhibit - the Les Paul Big Sound Experience – a mobile museum that offers an intimate and inspiring look at the life of Les Paul the man, the musician, the legend. At the center of the festival will be a massive all-female guitar jam, with 50 ladies strumming to some of our favorite pop and rock tunes! Come play, enjoy, and listen as we initiate a rockin summer!
