Welcome to the Pembroke PMC Kids Ride
We are excited to bring the most successful athletic based charity event in the country to our town. The PMC (Pan Mass Challenge) has been raising money for the Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber since 1980. The PMC hopes to eclipse the $500 million threshold this year.
Pembroke is home to a spirited and charitable community. The PMC Kids ride will provide our children with an avenue to become involved in philanthropy and community activities at an early age while learning the valuable lesson of how good it feels to do something that benefits others. Join us in this exciting event to benefit the Jimmy Fund. These young participants are tomorrow's givers.
Preregistration is required and all participants must be registered by June 6th, 2015.
There will be 3 routes to choose:
Junior riders- A contained course in the rear of High School. This loop is for children on big wheels, tricycles or bicycles with training wheels. Children are accompanied by their parent/guardian as they loop the course
Big Kid Loop- Older students on 2 wheels. This is a 3.2 mile ride that takes riders down Learning Lane, left on Hobomock, left on Standish, right on Forest, right on Valley, right on Plain, right on Lake (which turns in) to Hobomock and right onto Learning Lane.
Advanced Loop- For older, more advanced riders, who will follow the same route as the big kid loop, but instead of continuing onto Hobomock (where Lake, Hobomock and Standish come together), riders will turn right onto Standish and complete the same loop again. This will add an additional 2 miles.
At the conclusion of the ride, there will be a Festival in the lower High School parking lot. We will have fun snacks for kids, jumpy houses, pictures with Anna & Elsa, music and much more.
