When a baker and his wife learn they've been cursed by a witch, they embark on a quest to reverse the spell. Along the way they encounter an ambivalent Cinderella, an aggressive Red Riding Hood, a rebellious Rapunzel, a too-trusting Jack and a couple of not-so-princely princes in Stephen Sondheim's musical fairy tale mash-up.
