Virtuoso guitarist Colin Thurmond performs works inspired by folk music from around the world, focusing especially on “sonidos latinos.” He has established himself as one of the leading artists and creative entrepreneurs of his generation.

Currently, he is Music Director of toUch performance art, a genre-bending performing arts company combining, music, dance, theatre, and circus arts in immersive settings. His latest creation, AcousticaElectronica, a unique blend of classical and electronic dance music in a flexible performance spaces, has had sold out runs in both Boston and New York City. Thurmond is currently finishing his doctorate at the New England Conservatory in Music Performance.
