Description

From the streets of Paris to the Hungarian countryside, Chameleon Arts Ensemble begins its second quarter-century with a program of beauty, light and joie de vivre. Kodály’s fiddler greets the audience with wild abandon; Eric Moe transports listeners to a luminous, glowing past; and Debussy conjures a universe of shifting color and sensual dreams. Chausson’s piano quartet is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of elegance, warmth and endless mélodie.

PROGRAM

Lili Boulanger, Nocturne et cortège for violin and piano

Eric Moe, Frozen Hours Melt Melodiously into the Past for flute, clarinet, string trio and piano

Zoltán Kodály, Duo for violin and cello, Op. 7

Claude Debussy, Trois poèmes de Stéphane Mallarmé for soprano and piano

Ernest Chausson, Piano Quartet in A Major, Op. 30
