The Episcopal Church's presiding bishop, the Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, brings his "Way of Love" message to eastern Massachusetts during a festive public rally on Saturday, April 27 on Boston Common (behind the Shaw Memorial, corner of Beacon and Park Streets) at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
The Episcopal Church has heard Bishop Curry herald the message of God's unconditional love since his election as presiding bishop in July 2015. Last May, his message went global and viral when he preached at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and in December, it earned him the title of "religious newsmaker of the year" from the Religion News Association, which said that Curry's sermon had "raised his profile as a progressive religious voice."
"Bishop Curry is a dynamic personality and preacher, and we believe his inspiring witness to the transforming power of the 'Way of Love' will be a blessing to the City of Boston and to our Commonwealth," the Rt. Rev. Alan M. Gates, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, said.
