About the Expert:
In his over 40-year career, Rob Napier has worked to repair and conserve models—including at the USS Constitution Museum, where he is restoring a 140-year-old model of “Old Ironsides.” He bases his own original models on extensive research, combing through records to create his plans. Mr. Napier’s maritime experience spans beyond miniature ships to yacht racing, boat building, commercial fishing and U.S. Navy service.
