The Neave Trio is presented by the Longy School of Music of Bard College. Now in its second season as Faculty Ensemble-in-Residence, the Neave Trio is made up of two Longy alumni: violinist Anna Williams and cellist Mikhail Veselov, and Bard College alumna, pianist Eri Nakamura. In this program, Neave Trio performs works by contemporary American composers, including the premiere of Eric Nathan’s Missing Words V (2018), commissioned by Coretet. They also perform Harold Meltzer’s Sindbad (2005)—for reciter and piano trio, featuring the composer himself. To conclude, Neave plays alongside current Longy students in Ellen Taaffe Zwilich’s Septet for String Quartet and Piano Trio (2008).
