Joy Skate Productions, a company that promotes health and happiness through the joy of ice skating, hosts its first Joy Skate Party to honor veterans and military families on Monday, February 4 from 7:30–9 p.m. The free event, sponsored in part by The Skating Club of Boston, is an opportunity for this deserving community to skate on Boston’s iconic Frog Pond and receive lessons from professional figure skaters and coaches.
The event is open to any military veteran, current commissioned military personnel and their families from across New England. Joy Skate Productions staff, The Skating Club of Boston coaches and volunteers will be on hand to help people skate and teach simple tricks on the ice. In addition, there will be fun games, music and warm treats plus other off-ice activities for the attendees.
The Skating Club of Boston provides free admission, skate rentals and hot chocolate to registered participants. Space is limited and the event is on a first come, first serve basis for those that register to attend.
