Boston, the annual comedy and music revue, is Urban Improv’s signature
fundraising event. For one night only, local Boston celebrities, media
personalities, politicians, and business, arts and community leaders rally
together to put on a show of hilarity, musical satire and skits.
This year, a
selection of Boston’s most notable are performing including Mayor Marty Walsh, Aerosmith’s Tom Hamilton, NESN’s Jenny Johnson,
comedian Jimmy Tingle, Draft Kings CEO Jason Robin, Red Sox Chairman Sam
Kennedy, and more.
The show
supports Rehearsal for Life’s Urban Improv program to empower Boston’s youth
using theater as a vehicle for social change. Since 1992, the interactive
program has engaged over 75,000 young people at more than 125 schools and
community groups. Urban Improv’s structured improvisational theater workshops
are designed to strengthen social and emotional (SEL) skills and help students
deal creatively with real-life challenges through dialogue and performance.
